1. About HapticPad

HapticPad is a macOS application that provides haptic feedback through the Mac's Force Touch trackpad as you hover over interactive elements in your web browser. It is developed and operated as an independent product by Sync Inc Ltd.

By downloading the app, installing the browser extension, or signing up to the waitlist, you agree to these terms.

We will not send unrelated marketing, sell your address to third parties, or add you to any other mailing lists without your explicit consent.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email we send. Unsubscribing removes you from all HapticPad communications immediately.

3. App Privacy — What HapticPad Does Not Collect

4. Local Data Storage

HapticPad stores the following data locally on your device only:

None of this data is transmitted off your device.

5. Purchase & Licensing

HapticPad is available as a free download with a 7-day full-access trial. After the trial period, a one-time In-App Purchase of $5 unlocks unlimited use permanently.

After trial expiry, the free version allows up to 10 active minutes of haptic feedback per day. This resets at midnight local time.

6. Browser Extension

The HapticPad browser extension is available free from the Chrome Web Store. It communicates with the HapticPad macOS app via a local WebSocket connection on your device only.

The extension detects when your cursor hovers over an interactive element and sends a single message containing only the element type (link, button, or input) to the native app. It does not read page content, capture keystrokes, access cookies, or communicate with any remote server.
